Kristallnacht* Commemoration in Story & Song

* The Night of Broken Glass – marks the beginning of the Holocaust

Sunday, November 8 — 12:00 – 1PM on Zoom (6PM Italy)

Featuring soloist Rosalie Leon

The Holocaust Encyclopedia explains that “Kristallnacht owes its name to the shards of shattered glass that lined German streets in the wake of the pogrom—broken glass from the windows of synagogues, homes, and Jewish-owned businesses plundered and destroyed during two nights of intense violence.”

During November 9 and 10, 1938, rioters destroyed synagogues and Jewish institutions and hundreds of Jews were killed or severely injured. Historians designate Kristallnacht as the official beginning of the horror known as the Holocaust.

Join Rabbi Barbara and soloist Rosalie Leon for an hour of poetry, song and moving stories as we remember our Jewish brothers and sisters who perished during two nights that changed the world.
